These insect life cycle foldable activities make a fun addition to science books. This set of resources looks at the life cycle of a butterfly, honey bee, ladybird and dragonfly.
Pupils will love creating their foldout, then opening to reveal the life cycle inside. These could be used for a lesson on insects or minibeasts, life cycles or habitats.
There are different options allowing you to differentiate the activity if required:

The honey bee is one of the most important insects on the planet, pollinating lots of the plants that we eat and use. Help your KS1 or lower KS2 pupils understand its life cycle with this foldable science cut and paste activity.

There are 10 creatures in total (starfish, sea urchin, barnacles, mussel, crab, hermit crab, jellyfish, sea snail, limpet, anemone).
There are questions to discuss together and once you have looked at a creature, you can easily click back to the rockpool to choose the next one. Animals can be accessed in any order.
The presentation is partially editable (text in white boxes can be changed) but images and titles are fixed in place.

Want a fun and engaging way to teach food chains at KS1? This sequencing science craft activity is hands-on alternative to a food chains worksheet. Children can construct a 4-stage food chains for 3 different habitats - a woodland, ocean/sea and a rainforest.
For each habitat, there are 4 options included:
Template 1: Colour the food chain template and food chain stages, cut and fold.
Template 2: Color the template and food chain stages, arrange the stages in order, glue, cut, and fold.
Template 3: Colour the template, draw/write a 3-stage food chain for that habitat in the boxes, cut, and fold.
